14. Be courteous
Many employers judge you on the basis of your behavior with people of lower ranks. I would suggest that make "genuinely being courteous" part of you and your nature. Always remember that wherever you are and at whatever position you are you have a boss and that you are at lower ranks too, so do you appreciate being handled roughly? I bet your answer is "No".

So, "genuinely being courteous" should be installed in your nature. When you arrive at the prospective employer's office, greet the receptionist and make yourself comfortable. At some organizations, office boys greet you with a cup of tea/coffee or a glass of water, be courteous to them as well and thank them. It not only makes their day but makes you feel good too.

A disclaimer; never fake being courteous. People can make out that you are faking. Practice "genuinely being courteous".

15. Multi Culture
Before you are all set to go for an interview, always remember about the various cultures that exist. In some countries offering a hand shake to a women is considered offensive. Always research well in advance the culture of your employer. In such situations, always be yourself and "genuinely being courteous" always helps.
