In the earlier article Secrets to learning from self help books I had explained secrets of learning from self help books. This article will focus on how to practice the learning from self help books.

Whoever said that "Practice Makes Perfect" was true - however; I would like to add that "Practice makes permanent". Ultimately the knowledge that you gain from self help books help you alter your character for betterment. Would you like to make theses alterations "Permanent"? How about keeping your transformed state for life?

So how would you practice learning from self help books? Read on.


1. One concept at a time

Many of us read self help books like a novel. The start and end is always remembered and the middle is forgotten.

Since the middle has more meat - this is what you should learn to digest well. You should learn to break down the book into easy to digest material. Its like having a sickness - to which the doctor prescribes medicines in easy to digest dose(s).

If you are reading a concept on Time Management - you should break down that concept into parts. This will help you understand and practice better. Its easy to read through the concept - but to understand takes patience and requires that you break down complex concepts into simple ones and then assimilate all together later on.
